Age 85, died Saturday, September 1, 2001. She was born June 18, 1916 to the late Herman and Anna (Wichmann) Filz. Helen graduated from Northwestern University in 1949. She was a silver sister of Alpha Delta Kappa since 1959. Helen taught Sunday school for five years at St. John's United Church in Appleton. She also taught Sunday school from 1960 until the late 1990's and was the Children's Choir Director from 1963-1993 at the Hillard United Methodist Church in Hillard, Fl.

She is survived by her sister, Violet Krablean of Menasha; her special niece and nephew, Carol (Koko) and Edward Green of West Bend; a nephew, Rick and Lin Krablean; a niece Pat and Keith Matthews and a sister in law Zelma Filz of Arkansas. She will also be missed by many other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.

The Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 5, 2001 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Tri Country Chapel, 3212 South Oneida Street, Menasha. Visitation and viewing will also be Wednesday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
