Dachelet, Hector T.
Hector T. Dachelet, age 100, of Appleton, died Monday morning, December 31, 2007, on his birthday. He was born December 31, 1907, to the late Henry and Mary (Homblette) Dachelet, in Appleton where he was a resident most of his life. Hector had been employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company and retired after 43 years of service. He volunteered at the St. Joseph Food Pantry, Salvadorian Brothers, in New London, and numerous church projects. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Telephone Pioneers. Hector is survived by three children, Thomas C. Dachelet, Squaw Valley, CA; Mary (William) Harris, Belvidere IL; Margaret (Kenneth) Driessen; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Dachelet, David (Rachael) Hoffman-Dachelet, William (Charleen) Dachelet, Mark (Kimberly) Manthey, Kent (Denise) Manthey, Paul (Kristy) Driessen and Mark (Johanna) Driessen; 15 ¬Ω great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille (Roesch) Dachelet, his second wife, Josephine (Foeller) Dachelet, his son, William, three brothers, Henry and two in infancy, two sisters, Alvina Kiel and Emily Wenzel. The funeral liturgy for Hector will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, January 3, 2008, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, with Father Larry Abler officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 2:00 pm, until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for the Theda Clark Neo-Natal Unit.
