Heather Johnson, age 51 of Appleton passed away after a very brief illness on April 6, 2022. She was born in Appleton on December 9, 1970, the daughter of Lawrence and Catharina (VanderWielen) Johnson. She married Doug Johnson in 2011, and shared ten years with him.
She is survived by her parents: Lawrence (Sharon) Johnson and Catharina (VanderWielen) Johnson; husband: Doug Johnson; her children: Skyelar (Trent) Graham, Raven Meshke, Micah Van Thull, Jasmyn Johnson, and Tyler Johnson; two grandchildren: Niko DeLaCruz and Theodore Graham; a brother: Nick (Janis) Johnson; three sisters: Michelle (Chad) Spierings, Jennifer (Ken) Robenolt, and Jaimie (Pete) Denil. There are also a plethora of nieces and nephews. Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, a special nephew Torey Johnson, and an aunt Tante Anja.
Heather was an artist in everything she did. She also loved to read, especially thriller novels. When she wasn’t spending time with her beloved family, you could guarantee she was doing something creative, from doodling on a scrap of paper, sketching a masterpiece, or making something from macrame. Heather also loved anything to do with plants and was always giving out advice on how to keep them alive.
On Saturday, April 9, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM, Heather’s family invites friends and relatives to gather at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, located at 1592 Oneida Street in Fox Crossing to celebrate her life. There will be a sharing of memories at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
Heather was the best of us all: mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend – we were all blessed to have had her in our lives. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.
