Hazel B. Donnelly

October 24, 1920 — December 12, 2020

Hazel was born October 24, 1920, in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, daughter the late LeRoy and Helen (Tate) Trull.  She went to school in Bowmanville, graduated from the local high school, and received training to become a nurse at Oshawa General Hospital.  Eventually, she relocated to Appleton, Wisconsin, when her husband found employment with Kimberly Clark Corporation.

Hazel married Harold Donnelly on June 17, 1950, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  Together the couple shared many happy years together.

Her interests included involvement in the Appleton Women’s Club, Town Dance Club, Tuesday golf league at High Cliff, Wisconsin Gardeners’ Club, playing bridge,  line dancing, girls scouts, and judging flower and gardening competitions.  She and Hal were also members of First United Methodist Church.

Hazel is survived by a son: Thomas “Ted” Donnelly of Appleton; a daughter: Bonnie Donnelly of Green Bay; two grandchildren: Amy (Eli) Secor of Washington and Travis Weisgerber of Appleton; and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Donnelly; her parents; a sister: Grace Trull; a brother: Gordon & Daphne Trull; an infant son Gregory, and a daughter Candice.

Funeral Services for Hazel will be privately held at First United Methodist Church in Appleton, and able to be viewed via livestream on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 1:30 PM right on this page.

Private entombment and committal service will follow at Appleton’s Highland Memorial Park.
