Formerly of Kimberly, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at the age of 79. Harry was born in Appleton on January 12, 1923, son of the late Arthur and Anna (Pesch) Bobber. Harry was a graduate of the Appleton High School and served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during World War II. On February 27, 1943 he married the former Mary Ouellette at Holy Name Church in Kimberly; she preceded him in death on December 7, 1981. Harry was employed for many years as the Office Manager at August Winter & Sons, and retired in 1980. Harry love to entertail his family, friends, and neighbors at his home on Wheeler Lake in Lakewood.
Survivors include three sons: Jim (Lily) Bobber of Hortonville; Cliff (Barb) Bobber of Kimberly; Bill (Jean) Bobber of Darboy; eight grandchildren: Dawn (Kevin) Griesbach, John (Shelly) Antoniewicz, Mark Bobber and his fiancee Kristi Swanningson, Dave Bobber and his special friend Tami Allen, Sheri (Scott) Kennedy, Jessica Bobber and her special friend Randy Jansen, Matt Bobber, and Maria Bobber; three great-grandchildren: Caitlin and Carly Griesbach and Lauren Rose Kennedy; a brother: Ray (Arlene) Bobber of Appleton; five sisters-in-law: Audrey Bobber of Appleton, Alice
Bobber of Appleton, Betty (Charles) Treder of Brookfield, Delores (Jim) Hopfensperger of Kaukauna, and Pat Kluge of Kimberly, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary in 1981, brothers Art Bobber, Ken (Ruth) Bobber, Bob Bobber; a sister-in-law Elaine (Joe) McCann; a niece JoAnne Bobber; a nephew Steve Bobber; and by his brother-in-law Jim Kluge just this past Monday.
A memorial funeral liturgy for Harry will be held as 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 10, 2002 at HOLY NAME OF JESUS PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 10:30 AM until the hour of the mass.
Harry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
We will miss your kind heart, your sharp wit, your wonderful smile, and the many wonderful hours at the cottage. We know that you are at peace now with Grandma again at your cottage in the sky. Don’t catch all of the big ones.
