Harlan M. Piette, 86, passed away on July 11, 2022. He was born on September 20, 1935, to Ervent and Pauline Piette. Harlan joined the Marine Corps at 17, and served in the Korean War. He married Beverly Boegh on March 1, 1958, and they enjoyed 64 years together. Harlan retired from Miller Electric after 36 years.
One of Harlan’s greatest passions was restoring classic cars and attending car shows. He was particularly proud of his 1951 Pontiac Chieftain. He also enjoyed coin collecting and going to the casino with his family. He was a family man and loved spoiling the grandkids. He was lovingly known as “candy man” for his pocket full of peppermints. Harlan looked forward to the first Friday of every month, when he would meet up with his military friends for breakfast.
Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, Ervent and Pauline Piette.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Piette; daughters, Cindy (Duane) Johnson, Cheryl (Rickey) Burr, and Sandra (Peter) Fye; grandchildren, Craig, Michael (Matthew), Amanda (Beau), Connie (Jimmy), and Adam; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Fulcer; and brother-in-law, Carl Boettcher.
Harlan will be laid to rest with Military Honors at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton.
