Harlan J. Hallett, age 79, of Menasha, WI passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2023.
Harlan was born in Escanaba, MI to Donald and Gladys (French) Hallett on October 9, 1943. He was raised and worked hard on the farm from the age of 4 until he graduated from Lena High School in 1962.
He spent a year working different jobs in places away from home before he moved to Chicago. In Chicago, he had a full-time job and various part-time jobs. Harlan met his future wife, Patricia Richards in June 1964. They were married in June of 1965. Harlan loved machinery and truly showed his skill as a mechanic when they moved to Mineral Point, WI in December 1970.
He was an honest, hard worker, and always on call if someone needed help with their vehicle. He took good care of his customers when he was a mechanic and later when working at Farm & Fleet in Dodgeville, WI.
Harlan retired to Menasha, WI in 2003, but still worked various part-time jobs until truly retiring in 2014.
Harlan is survived by his wife Patricia of Menasha, WI, a daughter Sharon (Mike) Anderson and their children, Noelle and Nicholas of Menasha, and a son Robert Hallett of New Franklin, WI. He is further survived by sisters: Lois (Leonard) Zaidel of Lena, and Faye (Hallett) Rabideau of Green Bay as well as nieces and nephews.
No formal services will be held.
