Grace A. Haas (Spilski), age 89, passed away on December 8, 2020. She was born on March 20, 1931, daughter of the late Anna and Ben Spilski, a life-long resident of Menasha, WI. She was a graduate of St. John Grade School in Menasha and Menash High School in 1949. Grace was a member of the high school girls swim team and band. She was later a member of the First Class of Licensed Practical Nurses at Theda Clark Nursing School. Grace worked for Theda Clark Hospital and later Dr. John Nebel MD. She married her true love, Elmer N. Haas on May 7, 1955 at St. John Catholic Church and they had one son, Daniel. Grace was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha and enjoyed being a member of the church choir and other parish activities. She also was a volunteer for hospice, taking care of terminally ill individual’s needs. She loved to fish, swim, and be with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; brothers: Tom and Clarence; parents, Ben and Anna; grandson, Steven.
She is survived by her son, Dan and his wife, Lisa who she considered her daughter; four grandchildren: Tom, Becky, Katie and Steven along with four great-grandchildren/
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at St. Croix Hospice for the care given to Grace for many years.

The funeral mass for Grace will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha (528 Second St., Menasha) with Rev. Paul Paider officiating. The mass will be livestreamed at her obituary page at www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com for those more comfortable attending virtually.
