Gloria E. Wilson, age 79, of Appleton, Wisconsin passed into eternal life surrounded by her family on September 27, 2020.

Gloria was born in Munising, MI, the fourth of six children on September 11, 1941, raised in Trenary, MI by the late Lawrence and Dorothy Joel. She married her longtime friend and forever love Joseph Wilson on July 23, 1960. Together they happily raised four children. Multiple job transfers relocated Joe and Gloria to various states, but they eventually settled in Appleton, WI to be closer to family, which was always most important to them. Gloria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She cherished the gatherings of family and friends, laughing and playing games, spending holidays and weekends together, creating and sharing memories with all those who were involved in her life; memories that we all will keep as treasures. She spent most of her adult life being a home maker and staying active in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives and truly embraced every moment given with each of them. Gloria very much enjoyed listening to books, playing cards, solving jigsaw puzzles, vacationing with family and making Christmas treats for all to enjoy. She had a love for Snickers, licorice and ice-cold Diet Coke.  Above all else she was most known for her delicious homemade raspberry jam that she generously passed on to all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe; children, Ron (Jackie) Wilson, Rick (Kelly) Wilson, and Paula (Gary Turchan) Trobridge. She is further survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous other dear family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Joyce Joel, son and daughter-in-law Mike and Tracy Wilson, son-in-law Craig Trobridge and granddaughter Katie Van Schyndel.

A Celebration of Life will be held between 2:00 PM -6:00 PM for Gloria on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Village Bowl, N86 W18330 Main Street, Menomonee Falls, WI. Friends and family welcome to share in visitation, special memories, a meal and fellowship.

Gloria, you have blessed us in so many ways. As you wrote near the end “I love you all”, know that we all love you too and will forever carry you in our hearts and memories. May you ride on Angels wings until we meet again. We know your presence will always be with us. You will be greatly missed.
