Glenn Seaton Shelley of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the age of 92. Glenn was born June 3, 1930 in Grove City, Pennsylvania to Leonard Percy and Marion (Moore) Shelley. He graduated with an engineering degree from Northwestern University and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He had a long career as a metallurgist and salesman for foundries around the country. He married Nancy (Lamberg) Rabe on September 19, 1993, and together they retired to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. They also made many trips around the US with their RV group. They moved to Appleton in 2009 where Glenn enjoyed working on stained glass, Civil War history, exploring genealogy and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Everyone who met Glenn was drawn to his friendly, relaxed personality. Glenn made so many of us laugh with his comments and stories. He was funny and witty too, writing limericks for special occasions.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Appleton; daughters Ann Stover of Brookfield, Wisconsin and Linda (Gerry) Grossman of Santa Monica, California; stepsons John (Tammy) Rabe of Appleton and Brian (Stephanie) Rabe of Kewaskum, Wisconsin; grandchildren Shelley and Julie Stover, Ashley Grossman, Nick Rabe, and Mikaela, Autumn, Colton and Mason Rabe.
