Gladys E. Rice

Gladys Rice, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday with her family at her side. Gladys was born August 20, 1920 in Ontonagon, Michigan and worked for many years as a legal secretary, retiring in 1994. Survivors include eight children: Judy (Robert) Buckingham of Oregon; Susan Bachman of Connecticut; Thomas (Rosemary) Rice of Arizona; Roddy Rice of Van Dyne; Michael Rice of New London; Gail Jeanneret of Freedom; Bill (Paula) Rice of Pennsylvania; and Kelly (Kip) Johnson of Oshkosh. Gladys enjoyed twenty grandchildren and nine and a half great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon, and a son-in-law Michael Jeanneret.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 19, 2006, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, corner of College Avenue and Drew Street in Appleton with Fr. Patrick Twomey officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to All Saints’ Church.
