Geraldine Fahrenkrug, 94, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was born on February 8, 1924, in Combined Locks, the daughter of Lambertus and Christina (VanderZandt) Coenraad. Gerry married Rudolph Lemke in 1945, and he preceded her in 1960. She then married Erie Fahrenkrug in 1973, and he preceded her in 1980. Gerry helped to operate several taverns, namely The Paramont and Avalon, during most of those years. During these years she would also help the elderly at nursing homes and drive them to doctor’s appointments.
Gerry is survived by her children: Susan (Robert) Kline, Judy (Tom) Shaull and Greg (Theresa) Lemke; siblings: Martin Conrad, Wilma Weyenberg, and Theresa (Roy) Vanden Huevel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, Gerry was further preceded in death by her sisters: Harriet (Marty) Van Dehy, Josephine (Dale) Seefeldt, Alice (George) Subert, and Gertrude (Dick) Grieshaber; 2 brothers: Martin (Joan) Conrad and Chris (Jane) Coenraad; and a sister-in-law: Marie Van Dehy.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Wichmann Funeral Home - Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Thursday at the chapel from 10:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to a local hospice.
