Age 76, of Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at her home.
She was born the daughter of William and Jenny Tobin in Prentice, WI on July 25, 1925. She later married Harvey Kainz on June 15, 1957 in Waukegan, IL. She was a member of the Union Member Paper Makers, and Fox Valley Eagles Auxiliary Post 1063.
Survivors include her children: Gregory (Mary) Kainz, Appleton; Gary (Kay) Tobin, Greenville; Linda (Al) Kolanczyk, Manitowoc; Tina (Wayne) Rohloff, Menasha; Jean (Tom) Harvath, Neenah; 10 grandchildren: Jennifer, Michelle, Julie, Fran, Kelly, Christopher, Jason, Stacy, Lisa, and Jenny; 6 great grandchildren: Matthew, Jessica, Chloe, Rio, Ryan, and Darion; a sister Shirley Bergeson, Milwaukee, and a brothers-in-law Don Kainz, Tacoma, WA; Dennis Kainz, Shawano; Burt Kainz, Green Bay; Betty Anderson, Irma, WI.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Harvey in 1999, her parents, siblings: Florence Rozll, Ronald Tobin, Lawrence Tobin, Bernice Mitchell, Myrtle Nystrom, and Lyle Tobin, and one granddaughter, Dawn Penterman.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Nancy Toensing officiating. Visitation will also be Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service. The family would like to thank Dr. Swanson and his staff and Theda Home Care for their special care of Mom. A memorial fund is being established.
