Gerald "Jerry" Swiechowski

Gerald A. Swiechowski, age 86, was finally lead into the loving arms of his mother on Monday, October 15, 2018. He was born on April 3, 1932, the seventh and last child of Isadore and Clara (Maciejewski) Swiechowski. He came into the world three months early and weighed only two pounds and was not expected to live to be 15 years old. Jerry outlived all his siblings when he passed away at 86 years old. He worked at Whiting Paper and walked to work there for over 40 years He loved to travel. Although he never had a driver’s license, he sure got to a lot of places! If he could not get a ride, he would walk. With his many wonderful friends he traveled to many states and loved going to Mexico. He also loved going to casinos. Autumn was his favorite season and that is when he loved to go to Door County.

Jerry was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and husband. He was an exceptionally kind and proud uncle to his many nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Leona, Hank, Gertrude, Dorothy, Eddie and Louise.

The funeral mass for Jerry will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, October 22, 2018 at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH (324 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha). Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Church in his name.

Jerry’s family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Prairie Homes, especially the House of Grace, and ThedaCare Hospice for the care given to Jerry.
