Age 48, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a short illness on Friday, April 1, 2005. He was born in Appleton on March 22, 1957, son of Mary (Schaefer) Brehm and the late Joseph T. Brehm.

George is survived by his mother Mary; brothers and sisters, Qathryn (Margaret Pittman) Brehm, Los Angeles, CA, Joseph F. Brehm, Green Bay, Michael (Michelle) Brehm, Appleton, Betty (Tom) Parish, Medina, Anna (Larry) Anderson, Appleton, Patricia (Chris) Heinz, Appleton; nieces and nephews, Samantha, Michelle and Kaylen Brehm, Jay and Christina Parish, Jack Heinz, Benjamin Strassman, Eric (Melissa) Anderson, Courtney Anderson; and five great nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his Aunt Barbara and Uncle Paul Van Eperen, and Uncle Norbert and Aunt Lillian Brehm and a host of family, friends and loved ones.

George is a 1976 graduate of Antigo High playing varsity basketball. His hobbies included outdoor photography, with a passion for all sports and an avid collector of Hot Wheels.

The funeral liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence St. Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in George’s name is being established.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Second Floor South and the I.C.U. at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
