Gene Weber, age 83, passed away Saturday morning, June 16, 2007 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. He was born in Mercer, Wisconsin on May 6, 1924, son of the late Henry and Regina (Dworak) Weber. On June 12, 1945, the former Joan Staska became his bride at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. For over thirty years, the couple operated a 120-acre dairy farm near Denmark, retired in 1982, and relocated to Kaukauna to be near his daughter and her family. In 2005, Gene and Joan celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
Gene is survived by his wife of 62 years: Joan Weber of Kaukauna; a daughter: Catherine (Ed) Jakl of Kaukauna; three grandchildren: Rebecca (Shad) Bosmans and their children Hannah and Alex Brittnacher; Aaron, and Amanda and her husband Kelly.
The funeral liturgy for Gene will be held at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will be in All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Denmark. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until the hour of the service.
