Garland L. Thompson

Garland Thompson, 76, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013. Garland was born on November 8, 1937 to Chet and Luetta Thompson in Columbia City, Indiana. On November 8, 1975 he was united in marriage to Connie LaPean. He worked for Air Wisconsin for 31 years until his retirement in 2000. Garland loved cooking and made beautiful wedding cakes and fruit cakes. He also loved his dogs.

Garland is survived by his wife Connie Thompson, God daughter, Amy Jo Whitaker, two brothers; Clarence (Dolores) Thompson and Paul (Judy) Thompson both of Indiana, a mother-in-law; Patricia Bloedorn, brother-in-law; Dar (Marge) LaPean, and a sister-in-law; Michele Dotson, his dachshund, Winnie, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Garland was preceded in death by his parents, a father-in-law, Darwin LaPean, and two brothers; Robert Thompson and Arthur Thompson.

A memorial service for Garland will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Wichmann Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
