Gail S. Marston, 67, of Appleton, WI, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at the Carolina Assisted Living Center in Appleton. Gail was born on March 5, 1954, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Donald and Patricia Ruth (Lund) Marston, both deceased. Gail never married.
Gail graduated from Lincoln Community High School, Lincoln, IL, in 1972. After graduation, Gail returned to Appleton, WI, a City she truly loved, and resided for the remainder of her life.
Following her retirement in July of 2020, from Factory Motor Parts, where she worked as a Delivery Specialist, Gail spent much of her time volunteering at nursing homes and working part-time at Cleo’s Brown Beam Tavern since 1993. Gail also worked several years at Gimbels and continued to attend Gimbel’s annual employee reunions. She was a waitress at various places in Appleton. Gail always had jobs where there were people involved. She loved helping other’s beginning as a Candy Striper at the local hospital during her early high school years. She simply loved working with people.
Gail is survived by her two brothers, Brett Marston of Madison, WI, and Mark (Marsha) Marston of Lincoln, IL. Also surviving are an aunt, Bettyann (Lund) Talley and numerous cousins and one niece and nephew. Preceding Gail in death were her parents and one sister, Kim Rink.
The funeral service will be held at Wichmann’s Funeral Home, Appleton, WI, on Wednesday, June 2nd at 1:00pm, with visitation from 11:00am – 1:00 pm. Pastor Dee Sim, of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. A Private family burial will follow. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced. According to Gail’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
