October 13, 1952 — March 3, 2025

Appleton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gail Olson Oliver, age 72, of Appleton, Wisconsin, on March 3, 2025. Gail was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and piano teacher whose life was defined by her love of family, music, and Christ.

Gail was born on October 13, 1952, in Arlington, Virginia, and devoted her life to sharing her deep love for the Lord, her family and friends, and her passion for music. She married the love of her life, Michael R. Oliver, on January 1, 1972, in Burlington, IA. Together they raised three daughters: Erin Velasco (Damien) of Appleton, WI; Abby Oliver of Beverly Hills, CA; and Elly Oliver of Phoenix, AZ. Gail’s love and devotion to her family were evident in everything she did. She was a nurturing and supportive mother and grandmother, and her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren, who carry with them the love, wisdom, and kindness she instilled in them.

Gail was a woman of strong faith and a deep, unwavering devotion to Christ. Her faith guided her every step, and she found peace and joy in her relationship with God, while spreading His word all throughout her life. She was an active member of her church community and was always ready to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement to those around her. As a piano teacher for over 40 years, Gail touched the lives of countless students, sharing not only her musical talent but also her patience, warmth, and dedication to teaching. Her passion and talent for music was always a central part of her life, and it was a gift she passed on indefinitely.

Gail also had a profound love for gardening, finding immense happiness in tending to and sharing her flowers and plants with others. Her garden was a sanctuary, a place where she could enjoy God’s beautiful gift of nature and nurture His creations. One of her favorite delights was a whimsical fairy garden, a unique testament to her creativity. Gail’s fairy garden, with its tiny cottages and delicate flowers, was a special space where magic seemed to linger in the air, much like the joy she shared with all who visited.

Gail’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her love, and her unwavering commitment to her family and faith. She was a true blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Gail is survived by her husband; three daughters; four grandchildren; Boston Terrier, Champ; and siblings, Robert Olson, Jr. (Donna) of Hills, IA, Jeanne Olson of North Pole, AK, Holly Feehan (Randy) of Saginaw, MN, and James Olson (Holly) of Cleveland, OH.

A celebration of Gail's life will be held at The Stone Toad, 1109 Oneida St, Menasha, WI on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
