Fredrick J. Piette

Fredrich J. Piette, age 86, saw Heaven for the first time on March 18, 2025, surrounded by his family at home. He was born on August 9, 1938, to the late Alfred and Victorine (Koerner) Piette. On August 29, 1964, he married Shirley Gebheim and the couple raised four children in their Appleton home.

Fred loved physical work whether it was at his construction business, in the yard at home, or up at Suring. He was a third-generation contractor and was a mason by trade. In spite of running a business he always made time for his family, vacations and any gathering. Fred had a strong faith and prayed daily and enjoyed the simple pleasures. He and Shirley had many dear friends near and far who truly were like family.

He wanted to thank his wife and great partner of 61 years for the beautiful life they shared. He was ever proud of his children and grandchildren. And looks forward to seeing everyone again. As a family, we take comfort knowing his faith foundation was strong and that he was at peace and ready to embark on his next journey.

Fred is survived by his wife Shirley, his children: Jennifer (Jesse Reinke) Erb, Fritz (Penny) Piette, Vicki (Ray) Van Asten and Tony (Ally) Piette; his grandchildren: Sam, Evan, Cassie, Jared, Trevor, Hannah, Katelyn, Lizzy, Carson, Campbell and Graham. In addition, he is survived by so many friends and relatives.

At Fred’s request, a simple, private gathering to celebrate his life will take place. To honor him, please make an effort to “pay it forward” by engaging in a random act of kindness.
