Frank W. Hansen
Appleton
Age 90, passed away on May 15, 2001 at Colony Oaks Care Center. Frank was born the son of the late Soren (Matilda) Hansen in Duluth, Minnesota. The family relocated to Milwaukee in 1917 where Frank attended Boys Tech High School. Frank met Esther (Kuse) who he married in July 1932. During the depression Frank moved to Appleton and worked for Zwicker Knitting Mill for 25 years and then at Gage Food Products where he retired in 1973. Frank was a member of the Appleton North Chapter of Kiwanis, and a long time member of Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a avid fisherman and boater.
Frank is survived by seven nephews, Todd (Betty) Berens, Floyd (Joyce) Wadel, Jerry (Cathy) Puls, James Puls, Robert (Ann) Arndt, Donald Brock and Richard (Mary) Brock; one niece Carole Kubenik; numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; two sisters, Doris Seiy and Helen Mason.
The funeral liturgy will be on Saturday May 19, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Pope officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service (10:00 a.m.). Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, caretakers, and friends that cared for Frank over the years.
A memorial fund is being established.
