Frank Ince
Appleton
Age 82, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2002 at Colony Oaks Care Center. He was born on August 24, 1919 in Alliance, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Demeter) Ince. On August 1, 1942 he married Helen Wellman in North Little Rock, AK. Frank spent his career with the U.S. Army. He served in WW II and in the Korean War. Frank was awarded four Bronze Stars for his courageous efforts in WW II. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1966 after 21 years of honorable service.
He is survived by his children Cheryl (Stuart) Spahn of Vallejo, California, and Helen (Bob) Harlan of Appleton; his five grandchildren Stuart (Cristi) Spahn of Arizona, Mitchell and Matt Spahn of Vallejo, California, Lisha Harlan of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Lynn (Jarrett) Ward of Appleton; his twin brother Joseph Ince of Alliance, Ohio; three great grandchildren and his special friend, Phyllis Demler.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 1995, his parents, a son Steve in 1992, and a daughter Mary in 1998.
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at 2:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home with the Deacon Pete Reinl officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment with full military honors will be conducted at the Historic Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
