Francis "Fritz" D. Seiler

Francis “Fritz” Seiler, 85, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1939, to his parents Clyde and Mildred (Schultz) Seiler.

Fritz was born and raised in Sturgeon Bay, WI. He graduated from high school, and he immediately joined the Navy. He served his country for 3 years where he was stationed in Iceland. He met his lovely wife Carol in the fall of 1974, and they were married in December of 1975. Fritz was a computer programmer at Fox Valley Tech and NCR. He was an avid deer hunter and packer fan. Go Pack Go! He has been a season ticket holder since 1961. He even attended the Ice Bowl. He also loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Carol, children: Ron (Pat) Diermeier, Donna (Thomas Tidlund) Johnson, John (Julie) Diermeier, Greg (Linda) Seiler, Dan (Megan) Seiler; brother Gene (Nadya) Seiler; sister Dianne Petrina; sisters-in-law: Donna (John), Jan, and Cleo; 19 grandkids and 12 great grandkids, and nieces and nephews.

Fritz is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dick (Julaine) Seiler. and daughter-in-law Denece Diermeier.

There will be a funeral service on January 24, 2025, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N Superior St. Appleton WI, 54911. Visitation will be from 9-11am with a service time of 11. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park in the afternoon.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the owners and all of the staff at Copperstone Assisted Living and Moments Hospice. You not only treated Fritz as a resident, but you cared for him as one of your own. Everyone went above and beyond for him and our family, and we are so very thankful for angels like you.
