Francis (Frank) Robert Seymour, Jr.

Age 76, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2003, at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. Frank was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on September 24, 1927, son of the late Frank Robert, Sr. and Hilda (Dobratz) Seymour. He was baptized on October 23, 1927 and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha, Wisconsin. Frank was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, U.S.A. He attended U.W. – Madison in the early 50‚Äôs. Frank married Yvonne (Hull) Seymour Sears on February 3, 1950. She preceded him in death in 2001. Frank loyally served his country as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy from 1945 ‚Äì 1948, WWII. While on reserve in the Navy, Frank was recalled to serve in the Korean War, where he was attached to the First Marine Division from 1950 ‚Äì 1953. He was wounded on July 15, 1951 and was awarded the Bronze Star and later the Purple Heart. Frank received his Honorable Discharge from the Air Force in 1960, where he prepared to be a Communications Center Specialist and work in the field of Cryptology. He was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart; the Disabled American Veteran‚Äôs Association; the American Legion, Post #38; the V.F.W., Post #2778; and the Marine Corps League. Survivors include his two daughters, Stephanie Ann (Sears) Rippey, and Lynn Sears, both of Santa Cruz, California; and two aunts, Lucile Moesch and Lila Dobratz. He is further survived by cousins and many dear friends. A special MILITARY HONORS memorial service will be held lakeside at Kimberly Point Park, Neenah, at Noon, on Friday, October 10, 2003, with Deacon Pete Reinl officiating.
