Our Mother, age 87, the 3rd child of the late Albert and Minnie (Schultz) Brandt, born January 4, 1920, was chosen to join our Lord and Savior on a most beautiful autumn day, Sunday, October 21, 2007. Her life, after graduating from Appleton High School, included marriage to Harold L. Woehler, giving birth to seven children, working for Olen Mills and the City of Appleton as a meter maid and a parking ramp attendant. Frances somehow found time to be neighborly and enjoy life. She loved crocheting and knitting hats and mittens for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan, was an above average bowler and was supportive of her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed casinos, polka music, laughing, dancing, traveling and probably most of all food. Frances was also known for her wonderful sense of humor.

Frances is lovingly survived by her children: Janice (Jerry) Dethardt of Neenah, Allan Woehler of Appleton, Marilyn (Dennis) Zimmer of Seymour, Charlotte (Tim) Hall of Neenah, David Woehler of Appleton, Ronald (Terri) Woehler of Appleton and Nancy (Bob) Pitt of Appleton, twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Ione Hanson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances is preceded in death by her brothers: Chester Brandt and Ralph Brandt, sister-in-law, Helen Brandt; special brother-in-law, Lloyd “Bud” Hanson; great-grandson, Daityn Thomas; granddaughter-in-law, Julia Woehler; and many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.

Funeral services for Frances will be held at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Frey officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, October 25 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.

The family of Frances wishes to extend a special thank you to all the caregivers at Renaissance, Rennes Health Center and Heartland Hospice.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
