Frances M. Schneidewend

Frances “Tootie” M. Schneidewend, age 90, of Neenah, was called to eternal life on Saturday, July 7, 2018. She was born on June 16, 1928 to the late Peter and Zoeway (Baltazor) Wied in Bear Creek, Wisconsin.

Frances married the love of her life and her milk man, Morbe J. Schneidewend, on June 1, 1946 and together they were blessed with their six children. Before Morbe’s passing on June 4, 2012 they celebrated 66 years of marriage.

Frances played the matriarch of the family, she always tended to the needs of her family before anything else. In her spare time Frances enjoyed either sewing or embroidering. In the early years Frances and Morbe enjoyed fishing and trips up north.

She is survived by her six children, Sheldon (Barb) of Menasha, Rodney (Sharon) of Shiocton, Peggy (Steve) Dillenberg of Greenville, Holly of Appleton, Timothy (Paula) of Grand Chute and Tierney (Frank) Seebantz of Woodruff; twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. Frances is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other dear family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Morbe, Frances was preceded in death by an infant son, her siblings and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at BETHEL EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 829 Appleton Road in Menasha. Visitation will be held on Thursday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service with Pastor Hunter officiating. Entombment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah.
