SENSO, FRANCES M. “FRAN”

Frances M. Senso, of Kaukauna, age 88 years, died Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the St. Paul Home. She was born January 7, 1918 in Appleton, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Freeman) Hurst.In 1938, Fran married Clifton “Nook” Senso.

She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Frances loved watching the Lawrence Welk Show, listening to Big Band music and playing cribbage. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage on Roberts Lake, watching birds and picking wildflowers and berries. Mom was a special wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A quiet lady who put others first.

Fran is survived by her sons: Gary (Bev) Senso, Kaukauna; Guy (Betty) Senso, Kaukauna; Lee Senso, Waupaca and Grant Senso, Kaukauna; five grandchildren: Douglas (Cathy) Senso, Phillip Senso, Paul (Renee) Senso, Sarah (fiancé Tom VanHeuklon) Verhagen and Jill Senso; five great grandchildren: Abigail, Nathaniel, Carley, Madison and Mason; her sister: Eleanor Ingbretson, Kaukauna; sister-in-law: Shirley Hurst, Kaukauna. She is further survived by her special friend, Betty Jansen of Little Chute, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, grandson Peter Senso, brothers: Herbert (Marion), Harold (Pearl) and George Hurst; sisters: Helen (Harold) Powers, Marie (Benjamin) Pahl and Mildred (Jerome) Dreger and brother-in-law Russell (Lorraine) Senso.

The funeral liturgy for Fran will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will take place at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Greg Johnson and the entire staff of St. Paul Home, especially to the caregivers on Primrose. Mom had the best care. Thank you so very much.
