Age 89, died Wednesday afternoon, February 6, 2002, following a brief illness. She was born September 1, 1912, to the late Henry and Mary (Asenbrenner) Mader, in Gresham and had been an area resident for 40 years. During her working life, Frances, had been employed as a legal secretary. She enjoyed golfing for over 50 years and spending time with family. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks. Survivors include two sisters, Irene Langenberg, Combined Locks; Marge Foss, Hawaii; a brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Millie Mader, New Braunfels, TX; many special nieces and nephews; a special “grandson”; two sisters-in-law, Joan Mader, California; Ceil Mader, Appleton. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Sylvester, Lawrence, Charles, Louis and Henry Mader, and two brothers-in-law, Joseph Langenberg and Roy Foss. The funeral liturgy for Frances will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 9, 2002, at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 East Wallace Street, Combined Locks, with Father Robert Vandenberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Gresham. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Appleton Medical Center and Hospice at Cherry Meadows.
