Age 75, died Monday May 19, 2003, at Franciscan Care Center. Floyd was born on February 28, 1928, in Outagamie County to the late George and Martha (Stingle) Griesbach. He married Mary Geenen on June 25, 1949, in Appleton. Floyd farmed in Hortonville and was also employed at Voith Fabric (formerly Appleton Mills) for 28 years. He enjoyed gardening, automobiles and making sure his family’s holidays were special. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary; his daughters, Sharon (Alvin) Rathsack, Hortonville, and Nancy (Larry) Strey, Hortonville; his grandchildren, Tina (Jeremy) Krueger, Brian (Sally) Rathsack, and Cory Strey; his great grandson, Mason Krueger; his in-laws, Coletta Bauer, Appleton; Teresa Kemps, Kimberly; Bob Geenen, Kaukauna; Donald (Carol) Geenen, Darboy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha on April 23, 2003; his granddaughter, Crystal Strey; his in-laws, Roland Bauer, Marge (Louis) Koehler, Ronald (Bernice) Stadler, Ernest Kemps and Sally Geenen. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2003, at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, Appleton, with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Robert Fox, the staff at Franciscan Care Center, Fr. Gerald Falk and the nurses at Appleton Medical Center for their loving care.
