Age 61, passed away on Friday March 2, 2001 at St. Elizabeth Hospital following a lengthy illness with emphysema. He was born on January 6, 1940 in Abrams, WI the son of the late Martin and Lucille (Leeman) Heider. He served his country in the National Guards. On April 30, 1960 he married Betty Hendricks. He was employed by Svedala Industries for 32 years until he retired due to ill health. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom.

He is survived by his wife Betty, his daughter Wendy Heider, his son Rock Heider both of Appleton, five grandchildren, two brothers George (Joe) Heider of Neenah, and Randall (Rochelle) Heider of Greenville; his sister Trudy ( John) Gorecki of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 5, 2001 at 12:00 noon at ST NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH in Freedom with the Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-8 PM and at the church from 11:00 AM on Monday until the time of the services. Parish prayer and scripture services will be at 7:30 PM on Sunday. A memorial fund is being established.
