Florence Hamilton, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. She was born on February 19, 1928, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Nicholas and Katherine (Mistrioty) Alexander. Flossie enjoyed antiquing, day trips around Wisconsin, classic movies and books. She was employed with the City of Milwaukee as a Receptionist for the Mayor for 34 years, retiring in 1990. Flossie will be remembered most for her spunky personality and having a smile that could light up a room.
Flossie is survived by her husband of 44 years: Roger; 2 children: Sharon (special friend Ron) Behrens, and Mike (Paula) Hamilton; 5 grandchildren: Scott, Erika, Emily, Ellis, and Abby; 2 sisters: Dimitra “Cookie” (Peter) Constant and Joan (Frank, M.D.) Stergiades; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Flossie was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister: Charlotte “Dena” (George) Lampos.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3315 Packerland Drive East, De Pere, WI 54115.
