Evelyn Vanden Boogaard

Evelyn Vanden Boogaard, 93, passed away on July 7, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center.

She was born on August 23, 1920 in Appleton to Herbert and Laura (Lange) Laux. On April 14, 1945, she married Paul Vanden Boogaard at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton. She worked at Kimberly Clark and was a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 20 years. Evelyn was a wonderful cook and baker and a fantastic seamstress. Most important to her was her family and her home and she took great care of them.

Evelyn is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Paul (Leslie) Vanden Boogaard of Shiocton and their son, Brian Vanden Boogaard of Chippewa Falls; Tom (Sandi) Vanden Boogaard of Weyauwega and their daughter, Erin (Jim) Kraft of Appleton and their children Mariah, Olivia, and James, and son, Kyle Vanden Boogaard of Appleton; step brother Pat (Marcie) Murphy, sisters-in-law, Maxine Wichman and Maridel Prelwitz, and other relatives and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents, and an infant brother.

The funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton. Friends will be received at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
