Evelyn M. Haessly

Evelyn Haessly, age 94 of Little Chute, passed away at the Appleton Medical Center on January 1, 2016. Evelyn was born in Kaukauna on May 25, 1921, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Wagner) Hornung. She attended Holy Cross Catholic School, and was a graduate of the Kaukauna High School. On June 23, 1941, she married Bernard Haessly at Holy Cross in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death in 1985. Evelyn loved to spend time with her family, and enjoyed crafts of all kinds. She was a member of the Kaukauna Hobby and Craft Club.

She is survived by a son: Dave (Debbie) Haessly of Kaukauna; a daughter-in-law: Mary Haessly of Combined Locks; six grandchildren: Chris (Amanda), Mike (Jessica), Sean (Bridgette), Laura, Sarah, and Joe; and three great-grandchildren: Aydan, Brielle, and Alex. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons Dennis and Gary, a sister Esther, and twin great-granddaughters Darling and Mae.

The funeral liturgy for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 Am until the time of the service.
