Age 88, passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was born in Wausau on January 3, 1919 daughter of the late William and Mary (Maas) Genrich. She married Lawrence Fischer and he preceded her in death on December 25, 1991. Evelyn was a wonderful woman who never asked for much, but always gave a lot. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, she liked birds, flowers, the Packers and walking downtown. She is survived by her sons; Dennis (Suzanne), Fischer, Appleton; Duane (special friend Lynn), Fischer, Appleton; 2 grandchildren Samantha and Andrew Fischer, Appleton; 2 sisters, Joan (Don) Utech, Brokaw; and Pat Krueger, Wausau, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, 3 brothers, Wilber, Myron, and Donald Genrich, and 3 sisters, Norma Tueke, Dorothy D’Amore, and Marion Howf.
A visitation and gathering of family and friends to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday May 26, 2007 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, downtown chapel.
