Evelyn E. Winter

Evelyn Winter, age 102, passed away early on Sunday morning, September 6, 2015. Evelyn was born in Grand Chute on November 24, 1912, daughter of the late Herbert and Lena (Schroeder) Yandre. On September 30, 1933 she married Roy Winter at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton; Roy preceded her in death in 2005. Many will recall her love of playing cards, gardening, and bowling.

Evelyn is survived by two sons: Tom (Sandra) Winter of Appleton and Robert (Sandra) Winter of Eagle River; his grandchildren, Gary Winter, James (Jenny) Winter, John (Sally) Winter, Kelly (Mark) Owens, Michael (Tracey) Winter, and Julie (Andre) Paez. There are also eleven great- grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and a brother-in-law: Mike Raisler. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy in 2005, and her two sisters: Lucille Winkler and Elaine Raisler.

The Christian Funeral Service for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison Street, Appleton, with Rev. Peter Walther officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. A memorial has been established in his name to benefit St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
