Eunice A. Zimmerman

Eunice A. (Uhlenbrauck) Zimmerman was taken home in the arms of her Savior on April 23, 2021.  Eunice was born on September 2, 1925 to Emil and Alma (Jahnke) Uhlenbrauck in Freedom, Wisconsin, and was baptized at St. Peter Lutheran Church in the Township of Freedom on October 4, 1925 where she remained a lifetime member.  She married Raymond Zimmerman in 1946.  Eunice spent many years taking care of children in her home and was an Avon representative for 21 years.  She also took great care of her youngest son, Paul, who was born with Down Syndrome.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eunice is survived by her five sons, three daughters-in-law and 10 grandchildren; Eugene Zimmerman and his children Ryan (Nicole) and Melissa Selig; Glen (Linda) Zimmerman and their children: Shayne (Matt) Clausen and Chris (Laura); Allen (Kathy) Zimmerman and their children Adam (Natalie), Corey (Heather), and Brandon (Mallory); Terry (Jan) Zimmerman and their children Tyler (Melissa), Stefani Zimmerman, and Nicole Criscione; and Paul Zimmerman; and 18 great-grandchildren; a brother: Kenneth (Marva) Uhlenbrauck and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one great-granddaughter, Isabella; a brother and sister-in-law: Melvin and Dorothy Uhlenbrauck and a sister and brother-in-law: Gladys and Norman Schuette.

The Christian Funeral Service for Eunice will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, located at N2740 French Road, with Rev. Jim Fleming officiating.  Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.   Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Prairie Home Elder Services and Heartland Hospice for all their care/concern and attention during the past few years.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church.
