Eugene J. Micke

Gene Micke, age 82 of Kaukauna, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021.  He was born in 1938, son of the late Norbert and Elizabeth Micke.  He worked for many years at Thilmany in Kaukauna, and for seventeen years at Hardware Hank in Little Chute.

Gene is survived by his wife: Delores “Rosie” Micke; two sons: Roger (Tina) Micke and Tony Micke; a daughter: Christine (Jamie Schmitt) Micke; eight grandchildren: Lacey (Randy Derus) Micke, Cierra (Ryan) Smith, James Micke, Emily (Tim) Voight, Marlena (Tom Miller) Schmitt, Derek Schmitt, Amanda Sommerfedlt, and Scott Sommerfeldt.  His great-grandchildren are Jaelyn and Eli Derus, Remy and Zoey Smith, Leah and Cooper Voight, Liam and Megan Sommerfeldt, and Carson Miller.  There are also several brothers and sisters, as well as many in-laws.

The funeral liturgy for Gene will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at St. Katharine Drexel Parish – St. Mary Church, located at 119 W. 7^th Street in Kaukauna.  Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.  Masks and safe distancing will be required.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
