Kuse, Eugene J. “Geno”
Age 78, of King, Wisconsin, died September 29, 2006 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, Wisconsin. He was born on June 30, 1928 in Seymour, Wisconsin, the son of the late John and Rosemary (Van Zummeren) Kuse. Eugene married Barbara Bedor on September 22, 1969. She preceded him in death on June 8, 2004.
Eugene served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of the Crystal Chandelier Bar in Appleton and later was employed at Memorial Florists. He was a member of the Johnston-Blessman Post 38 American Legion, Appleton. He enjoyed going to the Queen B Restaurant, riding on the Valley Transit, volunteering at the Red Cross and St. Joseph Catholic Church, gardening and flowers.
Eugene is survived by his four sisters: Joyce (Orrin) Damsheuser of Appleton, Florence (Donald) Kostka of Alvin, Jan (Richard) Subert of Silver Cliff, Rose Mary (William) Kohl of Appleton; sister-in-law Lois Kuse of Appleton; and further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara, brother, LeRoy Kuse and great nephew Peter Subert.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence Street, on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 3:00 pm with Fr. David C. Belongea, Capuchin officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
The family of Geno would like to thank the staff at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home for their excellent care during his three years at King.
