Eufemia B. "Effie" Orth

Effie Orth, 82, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Misty Arbor Assisted Living. She was born on October 22, 1939, in Staten Island, NY the daughter of Cornelius and Grace (Varner) Bugauison. Effie was united in marriage to Ronald Paul Orth on July 18, 1959, and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2011. She was employed as a secretary with the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh from 1971 until her retirement in 2005. Effie enjoyed crafting and spending time with family and friends.

Effie is survived by her children: Duane Orth and Donna (John) Sams; 5 grandchildren: Josh, Caitlin, Marissa, Brittany and Caitlin; 2 great grandchildren: Winter and Jesse; a sister: Theresa (Chris) Jacobs; a brother-in-law: Ben Waldo; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Effie was further preceded in death by a sister: Isabel Waldo.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha. Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from Noon until the time of the service.
