Ethel E. Heins

HEINS, ETHEL ELIZABETH

Ethel Heins, of Appleton, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2008. She was born December 27, 1916 in Appleton, the daughter of the late Robert and Sophie Clements. On December 22, 1940 she married Eugene Heins in Appleton. Ethel was an office manager for Meirs-Rudolf in Appleton until her retirement in 1981. She was a long time member of First English Lutheran Church in Appleton. Ethel enjoyed ceramics, painting and hosting family gatherings.

She is survived by her daughter: Gail (Richard) Bender, Ripon, WI; four granddaughters: Marsha (Alain) Nsoga, Mundelein, IL; Janet (Mark) Haen, Martinez, GA; Elizabeth (Christopher Rieken) Bender, New Bedford, MA and Sarah (Jeremiah) Huth, Alexandria, VA; daughter-in-law: Dolores (Roger) Johnson, Townsend, WI; two great-grandchildren: Yann and Kyla Nsoga and two nephews: Bruce Barclay, Gulf Breeze, FL and Jack (Meg) Barclay, Birmingham, AL. Ethel was preceded in death by her son Robert Heins and her husband Eugene Heins.

The funeral service for Ethel will be held at 4:30 pm on Monday, September 15, 2008 at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 326 E. North St., Appleton, with Rev. George Detweiler officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 3:30 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
