Esther A. Ziemer

Esther A. Ziemer, 94, died Sunday, July 16, 2023 at St. Elizabeth’s. She was born in Germany on Dec. 24, 1928. She married Donald Ziemer on June 14, 1947.

Esther enjoyed the Red Hats and made many friends. She loved playing bingo and her Happy Hour.

She will be greatly missed by her 3 children, Gary (Melaine) and their kids, Joe, Chris, and Kevin; Steve (Leona Whitman – significant other) and kids, Matthew, Amanda, and Jon; and Mary Young (Bobbi Chadwick); eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Phyllis Trunk; and very special friend, Betty Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; daughters, Donna and Dawn; her mother and father, Emil and Bertha Trunk; sister, Dorothy and Hank Kern; brothers, Ed (Dutch) and Gail, and Werner and Millie; brother-in-law, Jerry and Ken; nephews, Glen, Mark, and Mike Trunk; and niece, Sue Jenkins.

Visitation for Esther Ziemer will be held on Monday, July 24, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St, Menasha. The service will begin at 4:00 PM. Esther’s burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Appleton, Tuesday, July 25, at 10:00 AM.
