Esther Alvina Gilbertson

Esther Alvina Gilbertson, age 94, passed away on July 22, 2023. She was born on June 2, 1929, to Martin and Lillian (Clotier) Wyngard. In January of 1950, Esther married the love of her life Leonard Gilbertson.
Esther is survived by her children: Mike (Jennifer) Gilbertson, Ronald (Evelyn) Gilbertson, Rick (Cindy) Gilbertson, Susan Truckey, Cheryl (Lee) Wirth, Kathleen Deiermann and Jim Medverden and son-in-law Shawn Diamond; as well as 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Marie Mielke, and brother and sisters-in-law: Evelyn Wyngard Schuh, Bud (Viginia) Gilbertson and Patty Gilbertson.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, son Allen, daughter Nancy, grandchildren Scott, Nichola and Timothy. In addition, she was preceded by her parents and her siblings: Rose, Dorothy, Ruth, Betty, Martin and James as well as brother-in-law Alvin.
A funeral liturgy for Esther will be held on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at Holy Spirit Parish, 600 E Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, at 12:30pm. Friends and family may gather at the church from 10:30am until the start of mass. Esther will be laid to rest next to Leonard at Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly.
