Rural Kaukauna
Age 85, died Monday, February 14, 2005 at the Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay. Esther was born in Shawano on March 28, 1919, daughter of the late William and Ellen (Dietzler) Baumgarten. On August 3, 1944, she married Roy Cropsey in Green Bay; Roy preceded her in death in February of 1995.
Esther is survived by two sons: Gary Cropsey of Kaukauna and his special friend Mary Jansen; Gale (Paula) Cropsey of Freedom; two daughters: Gwen (Dan) Diny of Greenleaf and Gena (Paul) Pankratz of Green Bay; eight grandchildren: Nathan (Wendy), Nick (Jill), Ben, and Sam Cropsey; Adam and Deanna Diny; Alex Pankratz; and Justin Jansen; two great-grandchildren: Lucas Cropsey and Maggie Esther Cropsey; three sisters and a brother: Marie Frank of Appleton; Raymond (Millie) Baumgarten of Kaukauna; Florence Anderson of Kaukauna; and Dorothy Milbach of Kaukauna. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy in 1995, brothers Elmer (Fay), Bill, Bobby (Helen), Eddie (Carmen) and Marvin Baumgarten; a sister Marian (Ken) Juse, and brothers-in-law Jerome Frank, George Anderson, and Nick Milbach.
The funeral service for Esther will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at the funeral home chapel with Fr. Robert Kabat officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Wrightstown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 PM until the hour of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Hospice for their wonderful care. You made mom so comfortable in her final days – we will never forget your kindness.
