Ervin Kuse Jr., 76 of Montello, WI formerly of Appleton, passed away on May 17, 2006 in Montello. He married Gweneth Halink on October 7, 1950 at Fort McPherson, GA. He worked as a welder at Allis Chalmbers in Appleton. Ervin and Gweneth retired to Montello in the spring of 1992 in the home he built with Gweneth and his family. Ervin enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He loved woodworking, fishing and old westerns. He served his country as an MP in the Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving and supportive wife of 55 years Gweneth ; daughter- in -law, Debbie (Danny) Kuse; daughters: Sheela (Scoot) Van Stippen, and Belinda (Ron) Hogan; son, David (Terry) Kuse;“daughter,” Shirley; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Merlin "Buff", Dave (Connie); sister-in-law, Camilla Russell; brother-in-law, Laddie (Jeannie) Halink; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Ervin was preceded in death by his son Danny (Sept. 2005); his parents, Ervin and Merdine Kuse; sister, Marian; brother, Robert; father and mother- in- law, Bill and Beatrice Hankins; Uncle Hank and Aunt Emma; Grandma Kanable and Grandma Scharman; Auntie Gweneth; and brother-in-law, Al Russell.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2006 with a memorial service to follow at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri- County Chapel, with Rev. Tom Fritz officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
