Age 85, died on June 11, 2001 at the Outagamie County Health Center. Erma was born on November 8, 1915 in the town of Freedom, daughter of the late William and Ella (Wendt) Schroeder. She married Herbert Kressin on November 10, 1934, and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage until he preceded her in death in 1986. Erma will be greatly missed by her son, Ronald (Carol) Kressin, Three Lakes, WI; her daughter Karen (Ronald) Peters, Appleton; her sisters, Edna Schultz, Appleton; Elsie Pruno, Appleton; Arlene Wendt, Appleton; her grandchildren, Lori Kressin, Appleton; Rick (Sharon) Kressin, Neenah; Randy (Julie) Kressin, Appleton; Loni (Matt) Mathison, Appleton; Linda (Perry) Mathison, Appleton; Dan Peters, Oshkosh; Diane (Eric) Zibble, Appleton; Dawn Peters, Appleton; her 13 great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Lucille Schroeder, Little Chute; Inez Schroeder, Appleton; Leone Schroeder, Appleton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Erma is preceded in death by her brothers, Walter, Erwin, Herbert, Harvey, Norbert and Harold Schroeder; and her sisters, Laura Schroeder and Mamie Plamann. Erma’s Funeral Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at the funeral home, with Rev. Ronald Ash officiating. Interment will be at Community Lutheran Cemetery, Freedom. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 13, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 3 East Staff at the Outagamie County Health Center for the compassion, care and loving treatment of Erma and our family, during the struggles with this disease. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
