BLOM, EMMA BERNICE

After many courageous triumphs and lessons of wisdom to others, Emma Bernice Blom, passed away peacefully in the arms of her parents on Tuesday May 9, 2006 at the age of seven years. She was born March 13, 1999 in Menomonee Falls, WI the daughter of Derek and RaeAnn (Klatt) Blom. Emma was in first grade at Edison Elementary School in Appleton. She loved spending time with her family and friends and visiting the tree farm. Emma enjoyed her parents reading to her, painting pictures, listening to music and reading many books. She was a friend to everyone she met and enjoyed playing “pretend” and “make believe” and swimming with family and friends. Emma’s world was full of color; she admired flowers, rainbows, butterflies and bright colors to their fullest.

Emma will be missed by her parents, Derek and RaeAnn Blom of Appleton; her brother and best friend, Devin Blom; grandparents: Lee and Karen Blom of Green Bay and Tom and Kay Klatt of Green Bay; great grandparents, Ed and Merce Berth of Green Bay; aunts, uncles and cousins: Pat, Julie, Philip, Sarah and Katie Klatt of Green Bay; Dana Blom of Appleton and David, Tessa and Carson Blom of Green Bay.

A funeral service for Emma will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 326 E. North Street, Appleton with Rev. David Lyle officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Wichmann Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday at the Church from 9:00 am until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in Emma’s name.
