Emma Bertha Terry, age 93, of Kaukauna, passed away Friday morning, May 1, 2009 at St. Paul Home. Emma was born March 4, 1916 in Kaukauna, to the late August and Lydia (Fleming) Wuyts. On June 12, 1932 Emma was united in marriage to Ezra Terry. In their younger years they enjoyed traveling together, while he was employed at Kimberly Clark Corporation. He preceded her in death in 1961.
She was employed at Zwickers Knitting Mill for 16 years, until her retirement. Emma enjoyed sewing and gardening, she will be remembered for being able to grow almost anything. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren and her wonderful niece, Carol Reinhardt.
She was a faithful member at Peace United Methodist Church, in Kaukauna.
Emma is survived by her grandson Michael (Debra) Terry; five great-grandchildren: Amber, Corey, Chris, Rachel, and Tabitha; three great-great-granchildren; three brothers: Carl (Mildred), Jack (Bernice), and Robert (Rita) Wuyts; numerous nieces and nephews, including Carol Reinhardt; a brother-in-law: Leo Blair; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband Emma is preceded in death by her son James (Ingrid) Terry; two brothers: Harry and Albert (Louise) Wuyts; three sisters: Ann (Joe) Rademacher, Bertha Zahn, and Florence Blair; her sister-in-law: Jean Wuyts; and brother-in-law, William Zahn.
In honoring Emma's wishes, no services will be held.
Emma's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers at St. Paul Home, and Dr. Russo for all their wonderful care and support.
