Age 102, passed away at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna on Monday, May 12, 2008. She was born in Reedsville, WI on May 8, 1906 the daughter of the late John and Anna (Foreyt) Novak. On September 25, 1923 she married her husband of 38 years, Samuel Golie. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1962. Emily was employed at Appleton Medical Center, retiring in 1980. She was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Parish, Kimberly.

Emily is survived by her grandchildren: Constance (Lowell) Holcomb, Pamela (Arthur) Frey, Hart (Deborah) DeNoble, Wendy (Kim) Seroy, and Thomas (Debbie) DeNoble; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and sister: Gert Marohn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; daughter: Marcella DeNoble; granddaughter, Renee Birdsall; and seven brothers and sisters.

The funeral liturgy will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Holy Spirit Parish, KIMBERLY CAMPUS, Kimberly, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.

Emily will be remembered with a smile as we all think of special moments with her. We will all miss her very much, but our happy memories of her will remain in our hearts, forever.
