Emaline M. Raymaker, “Mike”, age 81, of Combined Locks, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 2008, at Parkside Care Center. She was born January 7, 1927, to the late Joseph and Amelia (Utech) Hafeman, in Rhinelander, WI. She was the youngest of 14 children. Emaline got the nick name “Mike” from her four brothers who wanted another brother when she was born. Mike was married on October 20, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton, to Albert H. Raymaker. They were pen pals while Al was in Korea in the service. The couple enjoyed 58 years of marriage. They made their first home in Little Chute, where their two sons were born. Then they moved south to Combined Locks, in 1965, where she spent the rest of her life. Mike worked for the Darboy Club as a cook and for the Kimberly School District at Jansen School in the hot lunch program, prior to this she was a school teacher. Mike enjoyed the years spent with her husband, children and grandchildren at their trailer in Geano Beach Resort on Green Bay. She enjoyed fish fries and playing cards with the girls. Mike suffered a heart attack and stroke in 2001, which left her partially blind. Mike was a longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks, Jacob Coppus American Legion Auxiliary, Combined Locks VFW Auxiliary and the Appleton Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Mike is survived by her husband, Albert H. Raymaker; two sons, David J. (Joyce) Raymaker, Stockbridge; Michael J. (Tammy) Raymaker, Marietta, GA; 9 grandchildren, Joshua (Brenda) Raymaker, Andrew (Chris) Flenz, Tanya Johnson, Sarah (James) Dedering, Isaiah Raymaker, Zachariah Raymaker, Noah Raymaker, Jennifer Raymaker, Chanda Pouquet; 9 great grandchildren, Austin J. Raymaker, Reese R. Raymaker, Brittney M. Conrad, Elijah J. Flenz John N. Flenz, Carisa F. Flenz, Leah M. Johnson, Hannah E. Johnson, Gavin R. Pouquet; two sisters, Caroline (Kelly) Kersten, Appleton; Mary Hafeman, Sun City, AZ. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Herman (Clarice), Oscar, Gustav (Catherine), Andrew (Lucille), Robert (Mildred); six sisters, Ema (Harry) Herkowski, Rose (Robert) Angel, Leona (Clarence) Whiteaker, Laura (Connie) Van Handel, Hilda (Edmund) Schelfout, Marjorie Hafeman. The funeral liturgy for Emaline will be held at 5:00 pm, Friday, August 15, 2008, at ST Paul CATHOLIC CHURCH, 204 East Wallace Street, Combined Locks, with Father Jim Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call at the church from 3:00 pm Friday, until the time of the mass.
