Ellen Franzke

Ellen J. Franzke, age 92, of Appleton, passed away on Dec. 23, 2017. Ellen was born on January 14, 1925, in Chili, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Otto and Nora (Allbaugh) Drescher. She was married to Warren Franzke on March 22, 1969, he preceded her in death on September 16, 2007. Ellen moved to Sheboygan with her parents in 1941 and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1942. She was employed as a data processor at the Reiss Coal Company in Sheboygan for over 26 years. Ellen moved to Appleton in 1969 and was employed by Fox Tractor from 1970 to 1986 in the Sales Department. She enjoyed reading and was an active volunteer at her church and in the community.

Survivors include her brother, Harold (Adele) Branch, nephew, Jonathan (Connie) Drescher, Margaret (Ken) Free and additional nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on January 13, 2018 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 740 E. College Ave., Appleton, Wi. With Rev. Ben Morris officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on that day from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
